§ 11-65. Violations.

  • A person violating a provision of this article, upon conviction, is punished by a fine not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000.00). No offense committed and no liability, penalty or forfeiture, either civil or criminal, incurred prior to the effective date of this article will be discharge or affected by this article. Prosecutions and suits for such offenses, liabilities penalties and forfeitures may be instituted by, and cause of action pending on the effective date of this article may proceed as if the former laws applicable at the time the offense, liability, penalty or forfeiture was committed or incurred ha not bed amended, repealed, reenacted or superseded, and all former laws will continue in effect for these this purpose. False or incorrect information will be grounds for permit to be denied or revoked. Providing false information on a government document is considered a Class A misdemeanor under Section 37.10 of the Texas Penal Code. Upon conviction, this offense carries a penalty of a fine of up to four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) and possible confinement in jail for up to one (1) year.
