§ 25-5. Responsibility for safe work.

The regulations of this chapter shall not be construed to relieve from or lessen the responsibility of any person owning, operating or installing any plumbing system, and/or gas piping systems for damage to anyone injured or damages by any defect therein; nor shall the city be held liable for any damages or injuries suffered by any person or property as a result of the enforcement of the provisions and regulations of this chapter, or from any defects in the materials which may be installed, or the work which may be done under the provisions hereof and for which a certificate of inspection has been issued by the plumbing inspector.
