§ 26-23. Administrative rules and regulations.
The chief of police shall promulgate administrative rules and regulations of the department governing the assignment, conduct, equipment, duties, responsibilities and authority of all officers and employees of the department, in relation to the customary assignments in the department, and shall specify the kinds of uniforms to be worn and the equipment to be carried by officers and employees and the times and conditions under which such uniforms shall be worn and equipment carried. All such rules and regulations in effect shall be compiled and published under the direction of the chief of police, and a copy of every rule and regulation to which he or she is subject shall be available to each officer and employee of the department.
