§ 28-87. Rates and fees.
The following rates and fees shall apply to rental of civic center facilities:
FACILITY RATES
Facility Commercial Noncommercial/For-profit Noncommercial/Nonprofit Auditorium $1,500.00 + 10% of gross receipts. EQUIPMENT RENTAL
• Risers (4 × 8): $18.00 per section.
• Follow spotlight: $95.00 per light/per day.
• Genie lift: $100.00 per day.
• Pipe and drape: $1.00 per linear foot.
• Exhibit booths w/pipe and drape: $20.00 per booth.
• Skirted tables: $15.00 each.
• Podium with sound: $50.00 each.
• Screens: $25.00 each.
• Overhead projector: $25.00 each.
PERSONNEL SERVICES
• Available from outside/private firms at the rates currently charged by such firms.
MERCHANDISE SALES
• Commercial: 15% of gross receipts.
• Noncommercial/For-profit: 7% of gross receipts.
MISCELLANEOUS
• Tables and chairs necessary to meet the needs of an event are provided at no additional charge.
• The auditorium sound/lighting room is available to lessees at no charge subject to management approval of the operator.
• Rigging operations allowed by experienced stagehands subject to approval of the civic center technical supervisor.
• You are required to provide peace officers for your event.
Ballroom and auditorium require four (4).
Meeting rooms require two (2).
• Security guard use will be up to the discretion of the complex manager.
HOLIDAY RATES
The basic rate for events held in the civic center on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day shall be increased by twenty-five (25) percent.
CONVENTION RATES
Conventions, conferences or other types of meetings sponsored by noncommercial/nonprofit organizations and which utilize a significant number of hotel/motel rooms shall be eligible for a twenty (20) percent reduction from the basic rate.
EXTENDED USE RATES
A rate of four hundred dollars ($400.00) per day will apply to the auditorium and ballroom/exhibit hall and a rate of two hundred dollars ($200.00) per day will apply to the meeting rooms when they are rented for four (4) or more consecutive days by the same noncommercial organizations.
DEPOSITS/DAMAGES/CANCEL
Deposits: Deposit will be refunded after thirty (30) days after your event.
Cancellation: Any deposit paid for any event if cancelled at anytime deposit will not be refunded. No exemptions.
WAIVER OF FEES
City council has authorized a one-time waiver of all applicable civic center facility and equipment fees for that special event known as the U.S./Mexico Sister Cities Festival taking place January 23 through 28, 2007. Said fees to be waived shall total approximately five thousand seven hundred ninety dollars ($5,790.00).
