§ 28-104. Requirements under all permit categories.

  • (a)

    For each of the three (3) categories of permitted vending, the following requirements shall be met by the vendor:

    (1)

    The vendor's goods, cart and/or motor vehicle shall be freely made available for inspection by the health department.

    (2)

    The vendor shall obtain and maintain all required food establishment permits and licenses from the health department if the vendor handles goods or other foods.

    (3)

    The vendor shall not display or sell within six hundred (600) feet from the property line of any schools unless the vendor has a valid special event vendor's permit for that location.

    (4)

    The vendor shall comply with all traffic regulations and parking regulations and shall not obstruct pedestrian or street traffic in any way.

    (5)

    The vendor operating the street vending cart and/or motorized vehicle shall wear and display at all times while conducting street vending activities a valid and current street vendor picture ID issued by the health department, and renewed on a yearly basis. Street vendor picture ID will be issued after the street vendor demonstrates and provides to the city a complete criminal background record and the fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) for picture ID card. Additional or replacement street vendor picture ID cards will be at twenty dollars ($20.00) provided the street vendor demonstrates and provide to the City a complete criminal background record and pays the required fee.

    (b)

    Any violation of these requirements may be grounds for revoking a permit.
