§ 2-28. Adoption of state law relating to duties of local registrar and records of vital statistics.

(a)

State Law Adopted. The city council hereby adopts and confirms all of the provisions of Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes art. 4477 relating to the duties of local registrar and records of vital statistics.

(b)

Designation of City Secretary. The city council hereby acknowledges and designates the city secretary as local registrar pursuant to Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes art. 4477.

(c)

Amendments Adopted. All amendments as passed by the Texas Legislature in May of 1983 through Senate Bill 791 are also hereby adopted and confirmed.

(d)

Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes art. 4477 and amendments thereto are hereby repealed.
