The City of Laredo does not own a reservoir; therefore, a reservoir systems operation
plan is not applicable to the city. The City of Laredo, however, shares the waters
of the Rio Grande River, which serves as a natural boundary along the borders of Laredo,
Texas, and Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. The Amistad and Falcon Reservoirs are naturally
connected to the Rio Grande River; therefore, the City of Laredo has a drought contingency
plan in effect to help optimize the available water supplies of the Rio Grande River.
(Refer to drought contingency plan.)
