§ 8-5. Sale of lots.

  • (a)

    The city shall offer said burial lots referred to in section 8-4 of this chapter for sale, either at public or private sale, or at both public and private sale, and on such terms as to price and payment as may in its judgment be for the best interest of all parties to be affected thereby, and in case of any sale or sales of such burial lot or lots, it is hereby authorized and empowered to execute a deed of release thereof to the prospective purchasers thereof, and to collect the money for which the same may have been contracted to be sold; provided that, all such lots so sold, and the purchasers thereof, shall hold the same subject to all the provisions of this chapter relating to the authority of the city council over the same.

    (b)

    All burial lots, and the digging of all graves, must be paid for where it is possible to collect the reasonable value thereof.
