§ 8-8. Duty of person in charge of deceased to furnish burial certificate.

It shall be the duty of every householder or other person having charge of any deceased person, or of any undertaker or of the attending physician to furnish the burial certificate required under section 8-25 of article II of this chapter and upon neglect or refusal to comply with such requisition such householder, undertaker or attending physician shall be subject to punishment as provided in section 1-6 of this Code.
