§ 13-87. Home garden.

  • (a)

    The incidental establishment and maintenance of a garden at one's residential property for the cultivation of produce for personal consumption, off-site non-profit distribution, or off-site for-profit sale at a farmer's market, flea market, restaurant or food bank by the property owner or occupant.

    (b)

    The residential character of the property and dwelling must be maintained at all times.

    (c)

    Home gardens are deemed to be "gardens" for purposes of chapter 31, Utilities, article III, Water, division 4, Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plans, and subject to the irrigation restrictions set forth therein.
