§ 26-57.6. Training.

Prior to performing any duties as a reserve police officer, each reserve police applicant shall receive training by and through the police department of the city in accordance with the requirements of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education and shall apply for certification by that commission as a reserve law enforcement officer. The names of reserve police applicants who have received such certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education shall be submitted to the police chief for appointment.
