§ 27-1. Speed restricted.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any engineer or any person in charge of any electric, gasoline motor, diesel locomotive or steam locomotive or train to run the same within the corporate limits of the city at a greater rate of speed than twenty (20) miles per hour, except on the tracks and in the portions of the city as provided in paragraph (b) of this section.

    (b)

    A maximum speed as hereinafter set out is authorized upon the railroad tracks and in the areas of the city as set out in this section as follows:

    Arkansas Avenue, between the east line thereof, and the present east city limits, thirty (30) miles per hour.

    North city limits and the north line of Mann Road in the city, forty-five (45) miles per hour.

    Mann Road, between the north line thereof and the north line of Jefferson Street in the city, except the Westbrook spur track, thirty (30) miles per hour.

    Westbrook spur track, owned by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company running from the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company yards to the Laredo Air Force Base, fifteen (15) miles per hour.
