§ 27-2. Obstruction of street crossings.

  • (a)

    Any railway company, who shall block any public street crossing, in the city with engine or cars, of any kind, for more than five (5) minutes, at any one time, shall be subject to punishment as provided in section 1-6 of this Code.

    (b)

    A public street crossing, is hereby defined to be, an open and traveled street in daily use by pedestrians and vehicles, at the point for the whole width thereof, where the same crosses any railroad track.
