§ 32-66. Approval by city council.

  • (a)

    A holder may charge only fares which have been approved by the city council. A holder may propose a change in its fare structure by filing the proposal with the city secretary for consideration by the city council.

    (b)

    The city council shall hold a hearing to consider the proposed change in rates or fares. After the hearing, the city council may approve, disapprove or modify the proposed change.

    (c)

    A driver shall not charge a fare for operating a taxicab that is inconsistent with the rates authorized by the city council.
