§ 5.5-20. Clearance from fire dispatcher required for attendance at emergencies.

  • It shall be unlawful for any ambulance operator or his agent or employee to go to the scene of an emergency with the intent of providing ambulance service unless clearance has been obtained from the fire dispatcher; the arrival of a noncleared ambulance at the scene of a reported emergency within fifteen (15) minutes after the first police or fire broadcast relating to such emergency shall be prima facie evidence of intent to violate this section.
