§ 6-68. Newly annexed areas.

  • If any person is keeping, harboring, housing, corralling or maintaining any large livestock in an area outside the city limits, on the date of the area whereon the large livestock are being kept shall be annexed to the city if other than agriculturally zoned, then the person shall be allowed to keep that particular head of large livestock, plus any offspring therefrom, upon the location wherein they were being kept, harbored, housed, corralled or maintained as of the date of such annexation, for a period of not more than two (2) years from the date of such annexation, without regard to any provisions of this chapter concerning distances of such large livestock from any residence or business establishment. Thereafter, the provisions of this chapter shall apply in full.
