§ 28-101. Exceptions to general prohibition against using public property for commercial purposes.

  • (a)

    A person may engage in the display or the sale of goods or merchandise upon public sidewalks, streets or other public places of the city if that person has a current, valid street vendor's permit or special event vendor's permit or a contract for vending within the city, issued under and in compliance with the provisions of this article.

    (b)

    A street performer may engage in a street performance upon public sidewalks, streets or other public places in the central business district subject to the city's solicitation regulations as set forth in chapter 21, article XII of the Code of Ordinances.
