§ 15-10. Fees for laboratory services.

  • (a)

    A fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) per person will be assessed for persons that reside within the city limits for processing and phlebotomy services for the purpose of any laboratory analysis for clinical, diagnostic or screening tests and services by certified personnel of the city health department's laboratory, or by an off-site reference laboratory. A fee of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per person will be assessed for persons that reside outside of the city limits. All laboratory tests requested will also be charged at whatever cost to CLHD plus eight dollars ($8.00) and adjusted annually to meet the cost of the actual test and/or the Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement.

    (b)

    Exempted from this charge is any person unable to pay for such service due to indigence.

    (c)

    Nothing in this section is intended to exempt, change or modify the terms of any governing federal or state regulations which apply to the provisions of phlebotomy services by the laboratory of the health department.

No. 92-219, §§ 1—3, adopted Dec. 7, 1992. Subsequently, the same ordinance renumbered §§ 15-11, 15-12 as §§ 15-10, 15-11.
